The name KWNTO Sounds originated from the Tagalog word “kuwento”, which translates into “story”. It also represents the Filipino background of the company’s founder, Ryan Flores. In celebration of the Anniversary of Independence of the Philippines on June 12, Ryan has curated a special playlist featuring great new music by Filipino artists, producers, and creatives. “Araw” is a Tagalog word that literally translates to “sun”, something that the Philippines gets a lot of, but is also a symbol of the country’s liberty and freedom.
