About
Have you ever been in love with or missing someone so much that it actually makes you not function normally? This can go two ways. You can either be so obsessed with someone that you act positively out of character, or you can be so obsessed with someone that the thought of them distracts you and hinders your ability to focus. Lovesick takes the latter and adds a bit of jealousy and envy into the mix. This person is like a drug to you and you can't let it go. All you can do really is give them the opportunity to pursue or deny you, but until then, you'll stay lovesick.
Sonically, this song is a little bit of a departure from what Ryan usually does, opting for a more R&B inspired production and no acoustic guitar. This song was a result of late night noodling on guitar while jamming out to late 90s R&B tracks.
